Indian Council of Agricultural Research UG entrance Examination

All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Undergraduate Degree (AIEEA UG) Programs is a national level exam conducted by ICAR to fill 15% seats of all Agricultural Universities and ICAR Deemed to be universities. Being a national level entrance examination ICAR score is accepted by 59 State Agricultural/Horticulture/ Fishery universities, 5 ICAR Deemed Universities and 5 Central Universities for admission into their Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.

Depending upon the subjects studied during class 12, the candidates can select their undergraduate courses out of the following choices available:

•Application Process:

o Application form: Application form of ICAR is available online on the official website and can also be obtained by making cash payment from Registrars of Agricultural University, Specified Branches of Syndicate Bank, 8 ICAR Institutions.
o Required Information: While filling the application form candidates are required to enter the information related to themselves, their parents, contact details and details of marks obtained and year of passing the examinations.
o Documents to be uploaded: Candidates are required to upload the following documents in order complete the application form:

Recent Photograph: The recent photograph of the candidate having size 3.5 x 4.5cms, in JPEG format with size less than 100 Kb is to be uploaded.
Signature: The signatures need to be in JPEG format with size less than 50 Kb.
Thumb Impression: Left hand thumb impression is required from Male candidates while Female candidates are required to provide Right hand thumb impression. The size of the file should be less than 50 kb.

o Application Fee: Candidates from general category are required to make payment of Rs.500 as application fee, while candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to bay Rs. 250.The application fee can be paid by any of the below mentioned methods:

NEFT
Bank challan
Online using Credit/Debit Card or Net banking.

o Submission: Candidates opting for offline payment are required to complete the submission of the application form by sending the proof of payment to the concern authorities.

• Selection Procedure: The candidates will be allowed to take admission into their selected institutes and course on the basis of their merit in the ICAR 2016 Examination and the availability of the seats at the time of counseling.
