Result of NDA Entrance Exam

The Joint Services Academy where cadets of the three services the Navy, the Air Force and the Army Force are trained together prior to going on the pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies is National Defence Academy- the first tri-service academy in the world. To be a part of National Defence Academy, desirous candidates have to appear in the entrance exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, two times in a year.

Candidates are selected on the basis of the Written Exam, which is further followed by interviews. The interviews are based on general aptitude, team skills, psychological testing along with physical and social skills as well as medical tests. The semesters usually begin in the month of July and January very year. Every year around 320,000 candidates take this popular written exam which is a key to open gates of glorious life of a commissioned officer. Those who wish to join the Air Force also go through a Pilot Aptitude Battery Test. This year 70 cadets will be accepted for the Air Force, 42 for the Navy and 208 for the Army.

First session of NDA for the year 2015 was scheduled for April 19, 2015 and the result of the same is expected to be declared in the month of July 2015. Those who are very much sure about their success in the written examination should now pull up their socks and start preparing for the Second Stage which is the SSB Interview. UPSC NDA (1) Result Declaration:

• When will the result be declared:
No fixed date has been specified by the Union Public Service Commission for the declaration of the NDA (1) result. But keeping in mind the trends of the last year, the result is expected to be declared in the month of July 2015.
• Where will it be available: The result will be available by both the modes i.e. Online as well as Offline

  • Online: Candidates need to visit regularly the official website of UPSC. The result will be uploaded there and candidates can check their scores from there.
  • Offline: The roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates will be published in the Employment News
• How the NDA Scores can be checked: The scores can be checked by the shortlisted candidates on the official website of UPSC. After 15 days of result declaration candidates can download their mark sheets. The facility to obtain Mark sheet will be available for a span of 2 months.
  • No individual communication will be sent to the candidates about the NDA result
• Cut off marks of NDA: For the year 2014, the cut off marks of NDA and NA (1) Examination was 360 marks while cut off marks for the same examination in year 2013 was 333 marks.
