All India Entrance Examination for Admission in Under Graduate courses 2016 by Indian Council of Agriculture Research will be conducted on April 09, 2016. For the academic session 2016-17, only the date of the examination has been announced by ICAR. The score of ICAR’s examination will be accepted by 156 colleges and the students willing to pursue 4 years Bachelor’scourse in any of the below mentioned subjects can appear in ICAR 2016 examination:
- Agriculture Engineering, Agriculture
- Dairy Technology
- Forestry , Fisheries
- Bio-Technology
- Horticulture, Home Sciences
- Sericulture
- Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation
- Food Sciences
Any Indian student from the age group of 17-23 years can appear in the examination provided that he/she should have obtained minimum 50% marks in Class 12 examination in Physics, Mathematics or Biology and Chemistry. The criterion of upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years and minimum qualifying marks is relaxed by 10% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Physically Handicapped and Scheduled Tribe Categories. For admission in agricultural universities located in states where Hindi is not the language of common, the student should have studies English as a core subject in their class 12.
For the session 2016-17, the application process is expected to start in the last week of January or first week of February. For the session 2015-16, the application process started on February 01, 2015 and continued till February 23, 2015. The Applications will be accepted online and candidates can make online application on the ICAR’s website.
· Application form of the Examination will be accepted online as well as offline but candidate should keep in mind that incomplete applications will not be considered for the purpose of the examination.
· Application fee of Rs. 500 is to be paid by general category candidates while candidates from reserved category are required to pay application fee of Rs. 250.
o Payment of the application fee can be done through Bank Challan at Syndicate Bank, Online through Canara Bank’s Payment gateway using Credit card, Net Banking or Debit Card or by the means of NEFT.
· To complete the submission of the application forms, candidate making online payment are just required to complete online application, for candidates making payment through offline method or those who made offline application, they must send the printout of Confirmation Page or OMR application form to complete the submission.
· Admit card for the candidates who made the applications successfully will be issued by the authorities by the last month of March, 2016. Candidates can login to their account using their credentials generated at the time of application.
o For those candidates who made offline applications, they need to enter their OMR Application form number, date of birth & Mobile number to get their login credentials.
· Result of the AIEEA UG by ICAR will be tentatively declared in the second last or last week of May.
