Admission in MBBS in Banaras Hindu University wiillbe on the basis of merit obtained in the AIPMT 2016. The admission will be based on the ratio of 85: 15, i.e. 85% seats filled through BHU counselling and 15% seats through All India Pre Medical Test.

Application Process
If you are planning to apply for MBBS in BHU this year, you might be looking for the application process. Take a look at how the application to MBBS would be facilitated.
The applications can be made online. The forms are available on the official website of BHU, candidates will have to click on the link and proceed with the application form filling. The candidates have to provide name, age and qualification. The last date of application is April 30, 2016. No application will be entertained henceforth.
Submission of Application Form
The entire admission at BHU has been made online, the candidates will have to provide all the information on the e-copy of the application form and they must pay the fee else the application will be rejected. Candidates are not required to take any print out of the application form, it is not mandatory to send a printed copy of the application form to the university. But the candidates will have to submit their AIPMT score immediately after the declaration, but the maximum grace period is 15 days, beyond the stipulated limit, the mark card will not be accepted.
MBBS Result and Counselling At BHU
The counselling at BHU will commence immediately after the declaration of the results. It will be offline and the candidates will have to be in person at the university to attend the counselling. The counselling is scheduled to start in the first week of July, the date would be finalized once the results are declared. The candidates will have to appear at the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU.
Documents to be carried at the time of counselling
- Qualifying exam mark sheet and certificate
- Score Card of AIPMT 2016 with qualifying marks
- Migration certificate of the last institution.
- Admit Card AIPMT 2016
- Rank letter AIPMT 2016
- Photocopies of documents like certificates/Mark sheets and AIPMT-2014 admit card.( Two Photocopies)
- Colored Passport size photographs- (3.5X 4.5cm)
- The photograph must be similar to that one in application form of AIPMT 2016 and IMS BHU 2016 registration.
- A character certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended/ Gazetted Officer.
- Recent Caste Certificate in Original (if applicable).
