Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination is a state level engineering examination conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University which was formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Candidates appearing in the State Entrance Examination can get admission to architecture, engineering, management, and pharmacy courses in colleges located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Tentatively the application process for UPSEE will start in the month of February 2016 and will continue for one month and the exam will be conducted in the month of April. If we talk about the eligibility to appear in State Entrance Examination, anyone who clears the qualifying examination from the state of Uttar Pradesh or who is a domiciled resident of the state qualifies to be a part of the entrance examination.

- Eligibility: The following conditions should be fulfilled in order to get admission through UPSEE:
o Age: No restriction related to the age of the candidates appearing in the examination is there.
o Domicile: There are two conditions related to the domicile and the candidate needs to satisfy either one of them:
1. The student has cleared the qualifying examination from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
2. Either one of the parents needs to be a domiciled resident of Uttar Pradesh.
o Academic Qualification: The student should be appearing or have cleared class 12 examination with subject as per the course he/she is willing to pursue.
o Minimum Marks: The candidates should score marks as per the following criteria:
1. For B.Tech: General Students- 45%, SC/ST Students-40%
2. For B.Arch: 50% for All.
- Application Process: As per the convenience of the students, they can submit either Online or Offline application.
o Online application form can be filled on the official website of the University while offline application forms can be obtained from the designated helpdesks across the state.
o All candidates irrespective of the mode of application selected by them are required to send the application form or confirmation page of the application form by Post to the concerned authorities.
- Examination Fee: The candidates belonging to General and OBC categories are required to pay examination fee of Rs. 800 while candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe are required to pay Rs. 400 as examination fee.
o The application fee can be paid either online using credit/debit card or offline by the means of State Bank of India Challan.
- Exam Pattern: The questions will be available in both Hindi as well as in English and there will be total 150 questions in the exam, each question will carry 4 marks and there will be no negative marking.
